International Airport and WestJet Celebrate New Flights to Las Vegas

HAMILTON, ONTARIO (12 September 2011) – On Friday September 9, 2011 Hamilton International Airport welcomed WestJet’s first Las Vegas flight with a grand celebration for passengers departing on the inaugural flight.

“We are very excited about WestJet’s new service to Las Vegas and are thrilled to welcome this route with a fun celebration”, said Karen Medweth, Director of Air Service Development & Marketing at Hamilton International.  “It’s nice to send passengers on their way with a smile, and today’s event did just that – our passengers started their vacation before they even left the city!”

Guests on Friday’s Las Vegas flight enjoyed a five-tier Las Vegas inspired cake, snacks and beverages, while being entertained by Las Vegas showgirls and an Elvis impersonator.  Classic Elvis tunes, such as ‘Viva Las Vegas’ and ‘Love Me Tender’, filled the Departures Lounge as passengers took part in fun games and some magic tricks before departing from Hamilton International at 6.00pm.

Hamilton International Airport was pleased to announce the new non-stop flights to Las Vegas in late July.  Las Vegas, the entertainment capital of the world, is known for its world-famous casinos and hotels.  Whether it’s gaming on The Strip, enjoying the talents of Celine Dion, David Copperfield or Cirque du Soleil, touring the Grand Canyon or basking in the warm, Nevada sun, Las Vegas provides travelers with an exciting holiday.

Non-stop flights from Hamilton to Las Vegas will operate Mondays and Fridays from 9 September 2011 to 28 November 2011.  Flights can be booked now through the WestJet website, www.westjet.com or through your local travel professional.  A range of convenient and affordable vacation packages are also available through WestJet Vacations.

    Hi Rakesh-
Thanks for your post. Right now we don’t have any flights from Hamilton to Montreal. Having said that, we are always working to expand our route network so be sure to check our route map (http://www.flyhi.ca/destinations-and-airlines/route-map/) periodically to see if any new destinations are offered from Hamilton International.
