Today, Hamilton International Airport recently launched a community collaboration website (aegd.ca) for communication, discussion and debate about the development of lands around the airport.

Commonly called the “Airport Employment Growth District”, the AEGD is an opportunity to start bringing about the kind of change that Hamilton needs. With so much at stake, there has been great debate among many stakeholders. Until now, there has not been a one-stop source to learn about the issues and perspectives and to participate in the discussions.

The aegd.ca, spearheaded by HIA, brings together the latest studies, facts, issues and debate about developing this land for commercial use and employment growth in our city.  It features a blog where everyone is welcome to post their thoughts, ask questions and prompt discussion, making it truly a community website.

HIA invites you to visit the aegd.ca, view the comments and consider some of the issues at stake. They would also be pleased to answer any questions you might have, now, and as we move through this issue.
