		<description>Hi Paul:

Thanks for you comments.

We are also disappointed at WestJet’s decision to reduce their flights from Hamilton in the fall, but through our discussions with the airline, we understand the reasoning behind it; it’s been a tough year for the economy and Hamilton isn’t immune to the effects.

As for new routes, the Airport continues to work with airlines – including WestJet – promoting the benefits of flying from Hamilton and there is some good interest in what we have to offer. Airlines generally take a long time to make major decisions and so, while it may seem to the passengers nothing is happening, we are out there every day speaking to airlines about the opportunities at Hamilton Airport and are optimistic that we will be able to announce new destinations.

Thanks,

Karen Medweth
