16 September 2010 – Fill the Food Banks, Shaw’s first Together is Amazing initiative, is a wonderful opportunity for each of us to get involved and help close the hunger gap. Between September 20th and November 15th all of Shaw’s local offices across the country will work with food banks, businesses and residents to help put an end to hunger in our communities by raising 1 million pounds of food across the country. Campbell’s Company of Canada has agreed to match whatever is raised by Shaw communities and Shaw, as a company, has agreed to do the same. So, 66% of the goal has already been reached! Now it’s up to the rest of us to pull together and make a difference in the lives of the people around us.

Hamilton International Airport is a proud supporter of Fill the Food Banks with a drop off location in the main terminal. If you have any non-perishable food items you’d like to give, we’d love to include them towards the 1 million pounds of food we will help collect for Canadian food banks. Please give generously.
