I have been a member of the Hamilton community for 25 years and have gone on vacation at least once a year for the last 20 and still have yet to fly from the Hamilton Airport. Rather than flying from an airport that is a 15 minute drive from my home, I have chosen (for some illogical reason) to pay more money, sit in traffic, be held up at the border or leave my house a couple hours early just so I can be on time for my flight.

As crazy as this may sound, I know I’m not alone. In fact the majority of people I know have all opted to travel from a more expensive and time consuming airport, instead of choosing a cost effective and convenient alternative, such as the Hamilton Airport. Why is this the case one might ask? I cannot say for certain, but I can speak from what I know and what I’ve heard and from this I conclude that the majority of people (myself included, until doing an internship with the airport) are uninformed about the passenger business at the Hamilton Airport.

When people think Hamilton they think cargo, limited number of destinations, small unknown airlines, etc. Well I am here to tell you that this is the largest misconception that the airport faces, as they serve many destinations from across Canada, the United States, Mexico, the Caribbean and even Western Europe. Whether you are planning a family vacation to Disney World, a honeymoon on the beautiful beaches of Punta Cana, or a business trip to London (UK), the Hamilton Airport can take you there at an affordable price and in the most convenient and customer friendly manner.

I think one would be pleasantly surprised by this apparent best kept secret (which really shouldn’t be a secret anymore, so spread the word!). What better time than today to start planning for those Christmas holidays and spring break vacations. This time, however go about it the smart way, I know I will, ‘fly Hamilton, fly easy!’
