DHL Announces Expansion at John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport

Expansion continues at the John C. Munro Hamilton International Airport.

Richard Koroscil, President and C.E.O. is pleased to announce that DHL Express (Canada) Ltd. is moving its transborder air operations to Hamilton International Airport.

The transborder air service will commence with five flights per week from Hamilton to Cincinnati, Ohio, a major U.S. hub for DHL.

DHL currently uses Hamilton International Airport as its central Canada distribution point for their domestic air service.

“We are pleased that DHL is helping to grow Hamilton International Airport as Canada’s number one multi-modal cargo airport” said Koroscil.

Wayne Trottier, Director of Network Planning at DHL said “The move to Hamilton International Airport allows DHL to consolidate and streamline the Canadian network.”

The new transborder service commences September, 2009.
