Hamilton International Airport Wins Major International Award

Hamilton International Airport is proud to announce that it has captured a major international prize for airport marketing, the OAG – Routes Airport Marketing Award for the Americas.

The award was presented at the 14th Annual World Route Development Forum in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia before delegates representing nearly 500 airlines and 1000 airports.

This honour recognizes excellence in air service development as voted by industry partners, who nominated airports based on market research and marketing communications activities.

John Gibson, Vice President of Marketing at hi is thrilled that the airport’s efforts to support airline success have been internationally recognized by the aviation industry.

In its first two years, flyglobespan has experienced tremendous growth at hi due, in-part, to leveraging cooperative marketing initiatives with the airport. In 2008, the partners offered more same-plane destinations to the U.K. than any other North American airport.

This award is a particularly proud honour for the airport as it is the result of a nomination by our partner airlines. hi is extremely happy to receive the award amongst very difficult competition.
